strawberry u-pick picking moncton new brunswick

Strawberry Picking near Moncton

It’s a tasty time of year! Strawberry season is generally the month of July, with raspberry season starting toward the end of month. Here are links to strawberry u-picks that are a quick drive from Moncton, with a few raspberry farms mentioned, too. PLEASE, check the source links and even call ahead before heading out; farms often have to close the fields because of weather and other conditions. We’d hate for you to be disappointed!

(Please note: We do our best to update this post each season, but sometimes you get here before we do – and sometimes businesses change. Always be sure to click through to the source links we provide and check directly with the farm before heading out! This post was last updated in July 2019.)

Les Petits Fruits de Pre-d’en-Haut in Memramcook is open for strawberry picking as of July 14, 2019, from 8am to 5pm. Check their Facebook page or call (758-0987) before heading out, as they do occasionally close the field for a day or two to let berries ripen. There’s a little playground for the kids, and jams and jellies available to purchase. Watch for their raspberries to be ready soon, followed by highbush blueberries.Their pumpkin u-pick in mid-September.

Walker’s Strawberry Farm is about an hour’s drive from Moncton, located just outside of Sussex. Lots of fun cut outs to pose the kids in, and great reviews on the quality of berries last year. They open at 8am, weather & conditions permitting; check their Facebook page or call 433-1018 for updated information.

The Green Pig Strawberry U-Pick is opening for the 2019 season on July 6 at MacPherson Road in Five Points (there are signs and a note that if you “hit the house at the end of the road, you’ve gone too far!”). It’s $5 per person to enter the field; bring your own containers or purchase on site. Cash only.

For a change of pace, why not consider picking your own haskap berries! They’re described as having a raspberry/wild blueberry taste with a hint of honeycrisp apple. There’s a u-pick at 323 Scotch Settlement Road, Irishtown, open weekdays 6-8pm and Saturdays & Sundays from 10am to 8pm. Bring your own containers; cost is $5/pound. Call for details: 383-8374.

This is fabulous! (Do you know what the organic gardening/pest control/spraying process is for any of these places?)

It’s so nice to have a lot of places from which to choose!

We are on a total fresh strawberry kick over here!
