Wondering what to do with the kids for the May long weekend in Moncton? We’ve got five top picks!
The Neptune Drive In opens for the season on Friday! The double feature is A Dog’s Purpose and The Fate of the Furious, with Split as the triple treat on Saturday. Showtime is approximately 9:25pm and the cost is $10 per person or $25 per carload (12 and under are free). A trip to the drive in can be a great way to enjoy the movies without hiring a babysitter – if the kids will sleep through the fun!
Saturday is the 5th annual East Coast Comic Expo! There’s a fantastic line up of guests and exhibitors and lots of fun to be had. Costumes encouraged! Check it out at the Kay Arena from 10am until 5pm.
Enjoy free admission to Fundy Park and the annual Geocaching event on Saturday – with a special Canada 150 theme. This event is perfect for beginners or more advanced geocachers. Head to the Salt and Fir Centre between noon and 5pm.
Sunday evening you can head to Sackville to rock out at Thunder & Lightning at “A Kid Show 4 The Kids.” Expect some puppets, some tunes, grilled cheese and Shirley temples on the menu, and bowling after the show. Family admission is just $5!
Walk the ocean floor for free on Monday! Admission to the Hopewell Rocks is by donation to the local food bank, as part of Albert County Appreciation Day. Site is open 9am to 5pm; high tide is 9:45am, with ocean floor access from 12:45pm to 5pm.
And a bonus pick: Saturday is the season opening of The Boardwalk (though the ice cream stand and Butterfly World are still closed)!
