Did you know that in 1984, U.S. President Ronald Reagan declared July to be National Ice Cream Month, with the third Sunday being National Ice Cream Day? Why not plan an ice cream tour that day!

King’s Ice Cream (1809 Mountain Road) is a Moncton favourite. The lovely flowers and funky ice cream seats are a great backdrop for capturing family photos. Expect a smile and a few extra chocolate chips with each order – and the portions are huge!

Summer Scoops (272 Elmwood Drive) is an ice cream parlour and so much more. Lots of toppings and options, including fresh mini fried donuts.

Mighty Scoops (161 Mapleton Road) is a great spot to stop on Mapleton.

Frosty’s (100 King Street) is a colourful spot with lots of picnic tables and people-watching opportunities.

Four C’s Dairy Bar (390 Coverdale Road) is a family favourite, a great deal and a wonderful chance to grab a treat and walk along the Riverview waterfront.

Ava’s Ice Cream (600 Pinewood Road) is another great Riverview spot.

New to the ice cream scene in 2017 was Milu Ice Cream Shop (35 Elmwood Drive). The owners want to make this a destination and an experience, not just a quick spot to grab a cool snack. We heard rave reviews last year!

New in 2018 is Murray’s Moose Ice Cream & Fudge at the renovated Magnetic Hill Wharf Village. A lovely spot to spend some time!

Dairy Depot (3161 Main Street) is a lovely ice cream spot in Salisbury. Little Tikes slides, child and adult picnic tables, and great deals make this a wonderful family destination. Open seven days a week!

For an unparalleled selection of dips and other fun treats, head to Cremerie Bennic Dairy Bar in Dieppe (3225 Principal Street West). A crowd favourite among the Pickle Planet followers!

Bar Laitier Amiro Dairy Bar is another reader suggestion for a great spot in Dieppe (1788 Amirault); it looks like a fantastically fun spot! 

Crystal Mountain Party Palace (Elmwood Drive) has a hard ice cream parlour, as does McBuns Bakery (the 122 Shediac Road location only).
